Saving Fuel
We went on a trip from Houston Texas to Granby Colorado during July 2006 and were concerned about fuel usage. There is a national campaign to get drivers to slow down and save fuel so we decided to drive at 60 MPH on the way up to Colorado to help with the campaign. It was good that most of the route was four lane since we only passed three vehicles ( a towed travel trailer, a fifth wheeler trailer, and an old farm pickup truck) and all the other vehicles passed us. Seems almost all american drivers don't care about saving fuel, just need to get to McDonalds or Walmart faster. So I will not feel sorry for them if fuel goes to $10.00 a gallon. I kept seeing a lot of the vehicles that were in such a rush to get around me and speed over and over again. Slow down, whats the rush there is a McDonalds or Walmart on every corner and they are open 24 hours.
